Beemster
The Beemster is a polder in the Dutch province of North Holland. Within the Beemster are the villages Middenbeemster, Noordbeemster, Westbeemster and Zuidoostbeemster, as well as the hamlets Halfweg and Klaterbuurt. The polder, which fell dry in 1612, was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999.
